About the authors

J. Dom Vásquez is an addictions counselor, ex-nurse, and criminal offender instructor who has dedicated his career to helping people overcome addiction and criminal thinking to discover their "bonus life.”

But Dom's journey goes beyond his professional accomplishments. He is also a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle – roles that bring him immense joy and fulfillment.

What makes Dom's story even more inspiring is that he is a survivor of substance use disorder himself. Having faced his battles with addiction, he understands firsthand the struggles individuals face on their road to recovery.

With over ten years of sobriety, Dom has rebuilt his life and found purpose in helping others rebuild theirs. His experiences have shaped him into an empathetic and compassionate advocate for those seeking healing from addiction.

Through his work as a substance abuse counselor, Dom combines professional expertise with personal insights to guide and support individuals on their journey toward a better reality.
